INTERNSHIPS

We like to offer internships to college students. We love having the extra help and hope to offer students the opportunity to learn about teaching, curriculum development, art as therapy and art administration.

The intern will assist with classes, document class activities, manage social media, and assist with fundraising efforts and events, including grant research and writing.

The ideal candidate is experienced in social media, comfortable with a digital camera and Adobe software, has excellent writing skills, and is extremely organized. Also, our interns must be fun to be around, hard-working, and genuinely care about working with teens and photography.

The internship runs for the duration of the course, approximately from mid-January through mid-June.

This is an unpaid position. Applicants can enroll for course credit.

The internship program is intended to support talented, self-directed photographers and/or students in gaining teaching experience, exhibition experience, and administrative experience related to running a community-enhancing art therapy program.  Interns will also serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for the students in the program.

Applicants should submit a writing sample, a resume, and a cover letter to tmeier@teresameier.com

Upon completion of the internship, interns will be asked to provide a detailed write-up of their experience in the program and will be invited to show one 11x17 print at the final exhibition.
