Light Box Laboratories classes are taught by Teresa Meier, who has an MFA in photography and a BS in Psychology. That means we’re passionate about photography and the therapeutic power of art! Our goal is to empower teens by teaching them how to express themselves creatively with photography. Students will learn about the history of photography as well as about contemporary photographers and tools. Students will be taught about open source software that they can continue to access and practice with own their own after the course. The course will expose students to alternative and contemporary methods of creating imagery, but will focus primarily on why we create imagery as opposed to how.
